Western Pacific Truck School of Oregon has been in the business of training entry-level truck drivers over the last 23 years. Our goals at Western Pacific Truck School are simple: to produce the best and the safest entry-level drivers in the industry.
Through our association with such groups as the Drivers Training Alliance, the Professional Truck Driving Institute, and the Commercial Vehicle Training Association, we have been involved in formulating a national skills standard for entry-level truck drivers. We have adopted these standards.
The benefits of having national standards are obvious. To the regulatory bodies, it serves as a foundation for evaluating course quality and output. For schools, it sets us apart from the "CDL mills" and increases the credibility of the school. For students and the driving public, it insures that they receive the most advanced training that meets the latest industry and safety standards. For carriers, it provides a higher quality of entry level drivers with basic skills thus reducing the remedial training time and improves driver retention.

Class A Commercial Drivers License Program
Western Pacific's Advanced Tractor/Trailer Operator Program is a 180 hours day or night course, classes meet Monday through Friday. All students are guaranteed a minimum of 44 hours behind the wheel training.
Course work includes:
Driving on the open road in highway, city, and heavy traffic conditions.
Safe and efficient operation of various types of tractors and trailers.
Defensive driving techniques, backing, safety and emergency procedures.
In-depth study of DOT safety rules and regulations.
Evaluations and critiques from our team of professional instructors.
Graduates receive a Diploma and a Class A CDL with all endorsements and job placement.
