Qualifications
If you meet the following requirements, you'll pass the first step in becoming an SMTI graduate:
Are age 19 or older
Willingness to be away from home 6-8 or 10-14 days at a time
Have an acceptable driving record
Pass a criminal background check
Pass a written test to evaluate your driving potential
Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical including DOT drug and alcohol test
Smokey Mountain Trucking Institute is located on Hwy.411 between Sevierville and Newport, Tn. We offer a 185 hour class. We also offer weekend classes. We can help with financing.
