Trucking School Profile

Western Pacific Truck School, the only truck driving school to be honored with the California Trucking Association's Fleet Safety Award, has graduated successful truck drivers since its founding in 1977.  Our comprehensive programs give you everything you need to know to get your CDL, and to get employed in the trucking industry.

Class A Commercial Drivers License Program

Western Pacific's Advanced Tractor/Trailer Operator Program is a 180 hours day or night course. Classes meet Monday through Friday. Course work includes:

	Driving on the open road in highway, city, and heavy traffic conditions.
	Safe and efficient operation of various types of tractors and trailers.
	Defensive driving techniques, backing, safety and emergency procedures.
	In-depth study of DOT safety rules and regulations.
	Evaluations and critiques from our team of professional instructors.

	Driving on the open road in highway, city, and heavy traffic conditions.
	Operations of straight trucks.
	Defensive driving techniques, backing, safety and emergency procedures.
	Loading and unloading, parking and docking procedures.
	Trip planning and navigational skills.

	Operating procedures for forklifts.
	Loading and unloading, trailer security procedures.
	Preparation for 30-question written test

Graduates receive the Forklift Certificate (exceeds CAL-OSHA standards!).

The Class B Commercial Drivers License Program can be combined with the Forklift Certification Course.
