Wisconsin CDL Requirements

To be eligible for a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) you must take and pass the mandatory Wisconsin CDL license examinations. Applicants must be 21 years old (18 years old if ALL of your driving is within Wisconsin and you do not transport hazardous materials or drive double or triple trailer rigs). Possess a valid medical certificate in accordance with MCSR regulations.

New drivers can obtain their CDL permit to learn how to drive a commercial truck. Once completed the necessary training courses, drivers then can step up their driving test with the state. Fees that are included are for the knowledge and driving tests as well as fees for the third-party administering the tests.
